he weir of the old Pinard mill can still be seen in the city park of Limoges today.
While the water in front is reflecting to a deep blue surface, the brook white foams immediately after the reservoir.

Charles Bichet receives his academic education at the National School of Arts and Crafts in Paris.
At the age of 20, he became a professor of drawing and taught from 1890 to 1924 at the School of Applied Arts in Limoges.

About the painter Eugène Alluaud he was connected to the artist circle of Crozant, where he exhibited together with Armand Guillaumin.
